Playa Del Secreto

We spent four nights at the condo in February 2011. The grounds of the condos and the pool were very well maintained and they create a very relaxing atmosphere. The interior of the condo is comfortable. Unlike some other condos in the area, the furniture is “real”, not concrete slabs with cushions. While you won’t find every luxury extra with this condo, it provides everything you’ll need for a great getaway. We really enjoyed breakfasts and snacks on the balcony. We were able to pick up everything we needed in Puerto Morelos, then prepare our meals back at the condo. Most of the time, the only sounds to be heard were the ocean surf, birds, and the breezes through the palms. For those who like to eat out, Puerto Morelos offers a variety of restaurants. There’s a private walkway to the beach – really just across the road. As advertised, we could literally walk a mile along the beach. Other than at the resort about 1 km south of the condo, at any time there were only a handful of other people on the beach. For security, there was a guarded gate into the beach area 24/7. We had no worries about safety. There are a lot of interesting things to see in the area. We had a good time at the Mayan women’s market, and also enjoyed the botanical gardens just south of town. There is a natural area accessed by walking south on the road that was home to a variety of wildlife. This condo is great for anyone wishing to experience the Yucatan on a budget. We would not hesitate to return.

This condo is absolutly beautiful and so nicely decorated-elegant, but fun too! It was very clean and comfortable. The beach here is one of the nicest on the Yucatan I have ever seen, and I’ve been up and down the coast. We were so relaxed here, none of the hub-bub that you find in Cancun or Playa Car. We highly recommend Casa Del Sol. We will be back!

This rental is an excellent value in a great location. The beach is just a short walk away, and we couldn’t imagine a better one. Unlike Cancun, the location is private and peaceful, and the condo is new and well-equipped. It makes a great base for exploring the amazing Mayan Riviera.

What a wonderful hide-a-way near Playa del Secreto. The owner and manager were super. The condo is spacious for two and has a great view and wonderful pool. It is in between Cancun and Playa del Carmen, so a rental car is helpful. Highly recommended!!
